The sewing kit is super easy...and the instructions were easy to follow... I adjusted the binding strips by an extra 1/8" as it was a bit of a squeeze to bind (unless you use a really skinny seam allowance unlike me!!) I also made modification to the ties as I didn't have a leather thong (found one in my jewellery box afterwards...)
I had a bit of fun with the printing but didn't have any ink... They had dried up. These were done by colouring the stamp with a Pigma pen & stamping quickly..
So now I am making another to send off with my Fat Quarterly Retreat name tag to my secret swap partner.. Did I say that I was going.... woop! Looking forward to it, should be fun. In London for the Jubilee weekend, it should be buzzing. There is still time to sign up..!
I am also doing this sew-along also and I have also just started blogging. I thought this project was going to be hard but it was so quick and easy. I love the finished project and so handy.ReplyDelete
Just popping in from the sew a long link page. I am also enjoying the small projects, still to try stamping, building up to it!!ReplyDelete
